This Privacy Policy explains how Paper VPN (the "App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the App and its related services. By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This Policy applies to Paper VPN's VPN connection features, Free and Quality Servers, VIP subscriptions, App bypass, feedback and support, security checks, settings, and related services.
VPN and Server Information. The App processes technical information needed to establish, maintain, and report a VPN connection. This may include connection status, selected or attempted server, protocol and configuration information, connection times, connection results, latency, and connectivity checks. Free users may be subject to daily or per-connection time limits. VIP status is used to determine access to Quality Servers, unlimited connection time, and ad-free use.
Device and App Information. We may process the app version, package name, Android version, device model, language, time zone, network type, installation identifiers, and similar technical details. We use this information to operate the service, authenticate requests, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and understand compatibility.
Advertising Identifier. Where available, the App may process the Google Advertising ID for advertising, analytics, connection reporting, fraud prevention, and service improvement. If it is unavailable, the App may use another stable app or device identifier.
Network and Public IP Information. The App and its service providers may process your public IP address and related information such as country, city, autonomous system, or Internet service provider. This information is used to verify connectivity, select or evaluate service routes, determine regional availability, support connection reports, and improve service quality.
Account, Subscription, and Payment Information. The App may process a User ID, authentication token, subscription status, plan, purchase status, billing period, renewal status, payment channel, order reference, and entitlement information. Payment details are entered on a hosted checkout page and processed by payment providers and their partners. Paper VPN does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Installed-App and App Bypass Information. The App may query apps that provide a launcher entry so you can choose which apps bypass the VPN tunnel. The selected package names are stored on your device and used when the VPN configuration is created. The App may also check for known root-management packages or other root indicators to protect the service and detect unsupported or higher-risk device environments. We do not collect the contents of those apps.
Feedback and Refund Information. When you submit feedback or a refund request, we process the category or reason, description, required contact email, subscription information needed to review the request, and images you explicitly select. Selected images are compressed and encoded for submission. We use this information to investigate issues, review requests, and contact you.
Analytics, Diagnostics, Remote Configuration, and Advertising. We use services including Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Functions, Yandex Mobile Ads, and Yandex Varioqub. These providers may process event data, advertising or installation identifiers, device and app information, remote-configuration requests, ad interactions, crash reports, performance information, and technical diagnostics under their own terms and privacy policies.

Paper VPN uses Android's VPN permission to create a local VPN tunnel and route traffic according to the selected configuration. Paper VPN does not inspect, store, sell, or share the content of your VPN traffic or a history of the destinations you visit. Limited connection and network metadata may still be processed when necessary to operate, secure, measure, and troubleshoot the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with service providers that help operate Paper VPN, including VPN infrastructure, hosting and networking providers, Firebase services, Yandex services, advertising providers, payment processors, public-IP or network diagnostic services, and customer-support systems. They may process information only as needed to provide their services and under their applicable terms and privacy policies.
We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Paper VPN, our infrastructure, or the rights and safety of others.
VPN Permission. Required to create and manage the VPN tunnel. A connection starts only after you approve Android's VPN permission prompt.
Notifications. Android notification permission may be requested so the VPN foreground service can display connection status and service notifications.
Network Access. Required to connect to servers, retrieve configuration, verify connectivity and subscriptions, load ads, submit feedback, and provide support features.
Installed-App Visibility. Used for App bypass selection and limited security or root checks as described above.
Selected Images. The App accesses an image only when you explicitly choose it through Android's system picker for feedback or a refund request.
The App stores settings and operational data in Android application storage. This may include language preference, selected App bypass package names, stable request identifiers, cached login and subscription state, selected server, free-use timing, ad counters, and remote configuration. Local data is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall it, subject to Android backup and restore behavior.
We retain service, payment-related status, feedback, refund, diagnostic, and support information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, review requests, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, improve Paper VPN, enforce agreements, or comply with law. Third-party providers retain data according to their own policies.

Paper VPN is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by Paper VPN. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Information may be processed in countries or regions different from where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Paper VPN may open or interact with Google Play, hosted checkout pages, payment providers, Firebase, Yandex, VPN and network providers, email applications, browsers, and external policy pages. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Last Revised date above. Your continued use of Paper VPN after an update means that you accept the revised Policy.
